PILLBOX Platformer

PILLBOX is an exploration of corrupted childhood and medicine, shown through the nightmare of a young girl. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Fran Bow, and American McGee’s Alice series, PILLBOX is a bloody platformer fit with horror visuals and dark themes. Can you survive the nightmare?

This is a simple GDevelop prototype which was used to test a collection of unique pixel art assets developed in 11836 Digital Media Art 2: Image Production delivered in the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Canberra.

• Hand-drawn visuals
• Horror inspired characters, enemies, and level design
• Unique enemies based on stuffed animals
• Focus on themes of childhood with an eerie and bloody twist
• A side scrolling platformer with inspiration from horror games including Fran Bow and Alice: Madness Returns 

PILLBOX uses the following keyboard controls:

• ⬅️ The left arrow for left movement 
• ➡️ The right arrow for right movement 
• ⬜ The spacebar for jump
